Antalya Airport (AYT) is the arrival point for most holidays on the Turkish Riviera, and the last part of the journey – from the terminal to your hotel or resort – is the part many travellers plan least. This guide explains the four main transfer types, how long the drive takes to the popular resort areas, and how to choose the option that fits your group, luggage and arrival time.
In short: a private transfer takes you directly to your hotel with no other stops, a VIP transfer adds a more spacious vehicle, a shared shuttle is the budget option with stops at other hotels, and a minibus suits larger groups. All of them are pre-booked at a fixed price.
How far is your hotel from Antalya Airport?
Antalya Airport lies east of the city, so the resort areas east of the airport (Lara, Kundu, Belek, Side, Alanya) are reached along the coastal D400 road, while Kemer and Konyaaltı lie to the west, beyond the city. The table below shows typical distances and drive times.
| Destination | Distance from AYT | Typical drive* | Route page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lara / Kundu | 13 km | 22 min | See prices |
| Antalya city centre | 15 km | 20 min | See prices |
| Konyaaltı | 27 km | 29 min | See prices |
| Belek | 36 km | 41 min | See prices |
| Kemer | 61 km | 57 min | See prices |

Private transfer: direct to your hotel
With a private transfer the vehicle is booked for your party only. The driver waits for you at arrivals, loads your luggage and drives straight to your hotel without collecting other passengers. The price is per vehicle, not per person, so it often becomes the better-value option for couples and families compared with several shuttle seats.
A private transfer is the right choice if you arrive late at night, travel with children or a lot of luggage, or simply want to reach your hotel as quickly as possible after the flight.
VIP transfer: more space and comfort
A VIP transfer works like a private transfer but uses a more spacious, higher-specification vehicle such as a VIP Mercedes Vito. It is popular for honeymoons, longer drives to Alanya or Kemer, and for travellers who want extra legroom and room for golf bags or large suitcases.
Shared shuttle: the budget option
A shared shuttle carries passengers from different flights who are going to the same area. You pay per seat, which makes it economical for solo travellers. The trade-off is time: the shuttle may wait for other passengers and stops at several hotels, so the journey takes longer than the times in the table above. Shared shuttles are only offered on selected routes; the booking search shows whether one is available for your hotel.
Minibus: for groups and large families
Groups of friends, extended families and golf groups often travel more comfortably in a minibus than in two separate cars. Everyone arrives together, there is room for all the luggage, and the fixed price is shared by the whole group.
How to choose the right transfer
These questions usually lead to the right answer:
- How many people and how much luggage? One or two people with light bags can use a shuttle; families and anyone with sports equipment are better off in a private car, VIP vehicle or minibus.
- When do you land? After a late or night flight, a direct transfer avoids waiting at the airport.
- How far is the hotel? For Alanya or Kemer, the time saved by a direct transfer is more noticeable than for Lara.
- Do you need a child seat? Request it as an extra when booking where it is offered, so the right seat is in the vehicle.
What happens when you land
After passport control and baggage collection, go to the arrivals exit of your terminal. The exact meeting instructions and driver contact are included in your booking confirmation. Because your flight number is part of the booking, a delayed arrival does not mean a missed pickup. If you need help at any time, our support team is available 24/7 by phone and WhatsApp on +90 542 742 07 92.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the transfer from Antalya Airport to Belek?
Belek is about 36 km from Antalya Airport. A private transfer usually takes around 40 minutes without heavy traffic.
How long does the transfer from Antalya Airport to Alanya take?
Alanya is about 128 km from the airport. A direct private transfer takes roughly 1 hour 45 minutes; a shared shuttle takes longer because it stops at other hotels.
Is a private transfer more expensive than a shuttle?

Can I cancel my Antalya airport transfer?
Free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before pickup unless otherwise stated in your booking.
